Each Tuesday morning, we come together to harvest the garden’s bounty and prepare it for local food distribution. This hands-on volunteer day is a vital part of Mitchell Giving Gardens’ mission to increase food security and community connection in Mitchell County.

No experience is required — we’ll provide guidance and all necessary tools. Every harvest helps put fresh, healthy food on local tables and strengthens our shared roots in the community.

• What to Bring

  • Water

  • Weather appropriate clothes (shorts, pants, etc.) that can get dirty

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses

  • Feel free to bring garden tools or gloves of your own, but we have plenty available for volunteers to use
